Working on a new pattern

So I was reading a post on Raverly today about knitting mittens for winters in Saskatchewan. I got inspired by the response that it's really the air between the layers that creates the warmth.

So what's a knitter to do, grab some yarn and needles. Thus far I'm using my trusty 2.5 Addi's and some Sock-Ease in the Rock Candy colorway.
